German 1791 The last will and testament of Mary Ellison alias Cubbon of Peeltown who departed this life May the 23rd 1791. First she committed her soul unto Almighty God who gave it and her body to the earth and Christian burial. Item To her son William she bequeathed five shillings and two fine linen shirts. Item she bequeathed unto her daughter Mary a quantity of unoccupied feathers in the house to make a bed as much flax as would make a tick for the same a sheet, blanket ,and coverlid, a table then at Thomas Jones, as much fine cloth as would make her a shift and ten shillings. Item She bequeathed unto her daughter Eleanor the bed that she then lay on and likewise bedding and bedstock, as much fine cloth as would make a shift, a herring barrel, a poplin gown and ten shillings. Item she bequeathed to her son Thomas forty shilling. Item she bequeathed unto her two daughters Viz Alice and Sarah ten shillings each and an oak chest to Alice and a bed box to Sarah and all the rest of her apparel equally between them. Item She bequeathed all her linen to be divided equally among her four daughters. Item She bequeathed unto her sons Richard and Robert ten shillings each. Lastly she constituted and appointed her loving husband Richard Ellison sole executor of all the rest of her effects and goods of what kind or nature soever excluding and debarring all craving person or persons with six pence legacy each. Witnesses present William Leece Thomas Siddleton Jurati 1 Jul 1791 - Richard Ellison sworn executor also guardian and supervisors of the children under age and hath given pledges or the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
