Lonan Know all men by the Presents that I William Lawson of the Parish of KK Lonnan for the Patern =al love and affection I have and do bear to wards my dutiful son Wm Lawson of the aforesaid Parish therefore have given granted confirmed and settled and by these Presents do give grant estate confirm and settle upon my said son Wm Lawson junr all and singular my goods & effects both moveable and immoveable of what kind nature or denomination soever after my Decease but reserving my sheep after my own Disposal. He my said son is to take all means and methods to sup port me in Declining years and to bury me Decently, He is likewise tothe abovepossess the before settled premisses from and after my Decease as aforesaid and to do and use the same to his benefit and advantage to all Intents and purposes whatsoever for perfomance thereof I the sd Wm Lawson do hereby firmly bind & oblige my self my Heirs Execrs Admrs and assigns in and under the penalty and forfeiture of Thirty pounds sterling to be levied and paid according to Law as witness my name herunto subscribed this 21st June 1790 Wm Lawson my X Signed & delivered in presence of John Kindrick my X Wm Corlet my x mark 10th June 1791 John Kinread and Wm Corlet deposed that Wm Lawson duly executed the before written Deed of settlement in the presence of the Deponants Before me Tho Moore At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas on the 10th day of June 1792 The beforegoing Deed of Settlement having been attested before the worship =ful Deemster, the same is accepted as and for the Last Will & Testament of William Lawson the Doner and William Lawson the Donee is thereupon sworn Excr in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of Debts namely John Kelly and John Kendry both of the parish of the Lonan.
