German 34 In the Name of God Amen I Finlo Clucas of Kerro-ney -Clough in the parish of German being of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body do make and ordain this my last will and Testament. That is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God, and my body to Christian burial - and as touching Such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life - I bequeath the Same in the following manner - I bequeath to my children Namely Um. Margaret, Catharine Jane & Elizth. Clucas the Sum of ten pounds Each I bequeath to my Sons Thomas, Hugh & John Clucas the Sum of one Crown to Each of them I bequeath to my Daughter Ann the wife of Philip Creer the sum of two pounds I bequeath to my Grandson Philip Creer's Eldest Son an Ewe lamb Lastly I Constitute Nominate and appoint my wife, Margaret Clucas Sole and whole Executrix of the residuum of my goods & Chattles & Effects be the Same of what Kind or denomination whatsoever - hereby ratifying this to be my last Will & Testament as witness my hand this 29th day of August 1791 Finlo Clucas (signed) Signed published and declared by the said Finlo Clucas as his Jurati last Will & Testament in the presence of us Patrick Corkill my X Wm. Quine in the Parish of Patrick 26th January 1792 The Exorx is sworn in Court in Form of Law as also to be Guardian and Supervisor of the Testator's Child who is under Age and hath given Pledges for the Payment of Debts and Legacies namely the Witnesses of the Will Probatum est C V Christian Wm. Clucas To the Revd. Evan Christain Vicar Genl, The humble petition of Margaret Clucas of Kerroo-ne-Clough in the parish of German widow - Sheweth - That her husband Finlo Clucas of the sd. Estate departed this life in Oct last past, and in his lifetime made his last Will & Testament, whereby he bequeathed Several legacies and appointed his sd. Wife Executrix thereof - That Thos. Clucas their Son and Heir at Law to their Said Estate has been of this Island Several years, and no Certainty of his being dead or living Through which petn. humbly pray that your Reverence will be pleased to grant an order for the hearing of this petition at the next Consistory Court and to Summon the sd. Testator's next of Kindred there to attend, that the sd. Will, may be proved and recorded - and that sd. Court will be pleased to direct and order the sd. Heirs moiety of the sd. Estate to be appraised that the Rent thereof will be forthcoming for him or his legal representative, which granted Shall cause petn. to pray & - Ordered that the beforegoing Petition do come or to be heard at a Consistory Court to be holden in the House of Thos. Quine in this Parish on the last Thursday in this instant Month whereof all proper Parties and Witnesses to have legal Notice Given at Kk Patrick 19th Janry 1792 E V Christian (signed) 11th Octr 1792 Thomas Kelly claims sd. Phinlo Clucas Estate for [Pounds]50-0-0 Received of Margaret Clucas the Sum of Ten pounds being full for the Legacy left to my wife by her father Finlo Clucas of Kerroo-ny-glogh In the Parish of German deceased - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my mark to my name this 1st Decr. 1793 Henry Quine my mark Witness present Hugh Clucas at Douglas June 16 1795 Hugh Clucas deposed on the holy Evangelist that Henry Quine duly executed the above receipt - Before me J H ?
