54 Lezayre Know all men by these presents that I JOHN CORLETT SON OF MR. JOHN CORLETT of Ballnahowin in the Parish of KK Christ Lezayre deceased, but now resident with my NEPHEW JOHN CORLET of the Kella in the said Parish who is most kind to me, in consideration of which and to continue his love and kindness to me for the time to come as also for and in consideration of the obligations herein after mentioned, have given, granted assigned, passed over settled, estated and confirmed: And by these presents do give, grand, assign and forever absolutely settle, estate and confirm unto him my said NEPHEW JOHN CORLET his Executors and assigns all and singular my worldly goods and effects of what kind nature or denomination soever particularly all whatsoever became due to me by the decease of my PARENTS, the absolute right of which I do hereby invest in him my said NEPHEW JOHN CORLET and he to have hold possess and enjoy the same and ever individual part thereof as his own absolute right and property forever from and after the signing hereof without any disturbance obstruction, venation or interruption from any one under me, He my said NEPHEW JOHN CORLET in consideration of this Deed of Settlement obliging himself to take all due care of me and provide all things necessary for me during my natural lifetime and have me decently buried. And for the true and faithful performance and due observance of all and singular the before written Deed of Settlement and the obligations therein mentioned both Parties do hereby firmly bind and oblige themselves the either to the other and their Heirs Executors and Assigns in penalty of eighty pounds sterling to be levied and paid according to Law as witness their subscription this 21st of December 1785. And John Curphey and Dan Cowll made oath before the Holy Evangelists that JOHN CORLET SENIOR duly executed the same in their presence. Before me, John Frissel. AT A CHAPTER COURT HOLDEN at Lezayre June 21st 1792 The before going Deed of Settlement having been lawfully proved before the High Bailiff the same is accepted as and for the last will and testament of JOHN CORLETT the Donor, and JOHN CORLETT the Donee is sworn Executor in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of debts namely James Clark and John Craid[?].
