Ballaugh The last will and testament of Daniel Craine of said parish being sick in body but of disposing mind and memory - declared and made the same in manner following vizt: First He committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial. Item He bequeathed to his children jointly the meadow and lastly he nominated constituted and appointed his said children sole and whole executors of all the rest of his goods and effects provided his eldest son should not become heir to his grandfather's estate but if otherwise said eldest son should possess his said grandfather's inheritance he is to be debarred of his share of both meadow and goods and effects. Witnesses Robert Corlett John Callister jurati At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael the 22d June 1796. Christian Craine the widow is sworn executrix in court in form of law as also guardian and supervisor along with Wm Craine their uncle of the children under age. She is also sworn to exhibit into the Registry of this court a true and perfect inventory of the goods and effects of the testators to which ends she hath given pledges namely the witnesses of this will. Probatum est Ev Christian and Wm Clucas John Craine appeared at the Registry this 29 Oct 1832 and acknowledged that he had received the legacy bequeathed to him in and by this will and hereby exonerates discharges and acquits the executrix her executors administrators and assigns of the same and of every part thereof as witness his subscription the day and date before written. This before me John Craine Joseph Brown ER Thomas Fargher husband of Isabella daughter of the deceased appeared at the Registry this fifth day of November 1832 and acknowledged to have received the legacy bequeathed to his wife in and by this will and he hereby exonerates discharges and acquits the executrix her executors administrators and assigns of the same and of every part thereof - As witness his subscription the day and date before written. Thomas Fargher's x mark This before me Joseph Brown ER Know all men by these presents that I Henry Craine of the town of Ramsey son of Daniel Crain late of the parish of Ballaugh deceased do hereby acknowledge to have received and been fully paid in my legacy share and proportion that I was entitled to under my said father's will dated the 8th of May 1795 for which I allow these presents to be a full receipt and discharge for the same. As witness my subscription this 16 of June 1832.
