32    Malew
The last will and testament of Margaret Tear wife of William Tear of
BallaTrollag in the parish of Malew who departed this life about the 28th
January 1795 and who also was sound and perfect in mind and memory at the
making hereof.
First she committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian
burial.
Secondly she left and bequeathed to her son Thomas Tear the half of the
croft after his father's death her husband William Teare and if he stood
in need she allowed him to take the sum of six pounds in the said half of
said croft.
Thirdly she left and bequeathed to her two daughters Jane and Anne all
her shaped wearing apparel both woollen and linen to be equally between them
to her grand daughter Margaret Maddrell she left a pair of stays and a board
goose to her son John Tear she left two sheep and to her
grandson John Madderel she also left two sheep.
Fourthly she left and bequeathed to her son William Tear the sum of four
pounds and to her grandson Thomas Tear the said William's son she left the
sum of three pounds when he would come to age.
Fifthly she left and bequeathed all the rest of her worldly goods and
effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever to her said son Thomas Tear and
nominating appointing him to be whole and sole executor
thereof and excluding all cravers with six pence a piece as legacy.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown June 17th 1799.  
The executor is sworn in court with pledges namely the witnesses.
