Douglas

This is affirmed to be the last Will
and Testament of Robert Creer of the
Town of Douglas (Boat Builder) who being
indisposed in Body but of a disposing mind
and memory at the pronouncing thereof
the 4th of April 1795
First he committed his Soul to God and his
Body to Christian Burial and with respect
to such goods and effects as he was possessed
of he disposes of the same as followeth
that is to say
Item He left and bequeathed to his Father
Robert Creer the sum of Two Guineas
Item He left and bequeathed to his Brother
John Creer the sum of One Guinea
Item He left and bequeathed the residue and
remainder of his effects movable and immov-
able of what nature or denomination soever
to his brother Thos Creer, his sister
Mary Creer the wife of John Clucas and
his sister Margaret Creer the wife of
Edward Christian equally between them
(He the testator declared that his sister
Mary aforesaid was indebted to him
the sum of Four Guineas and a ???
which she was to amount for with the
Co-executors, as so much received as ???
Part of her share of his goods & Effects
aforesaid) – And nominated const-
ituted ordained and appointed the afore-
said Thos Creer, Mary Creer wife of
John Clucas and Margaret Creer wife
of Edward Christian, whole & sole 
executors of his last Will and Testament
the date beforementioned.

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas
June 16th 1795
The Exors above name are sworn in
Court in form of Law and also to be true & fair
the one to the other in the Division of the
Effects & have given pledges for the payment
of Debts & Legacies namely the witnesses
of the Will

Feb 23 1796 Hugh Callow enters a claim against the est. of Robert 
Creer for the sum of £1-2-0
