                   64
   This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament
   of Philip Brew of the parish of KK Christ Lezayre
   being in health and of perfect Mind and Memory
   at the making hereof the 27th July 1792 are as follows
First he commited his Soul to Almighty God and his
   body to Christian Burial
Item He Left and bequeathed to his Brother Robert the
   sum of fourteen pence and to his sister Christian
   wife of William Lawson he left fourteen pence and to his sister 
   Jane Kelley he left fourteen pence
   Likewise - and to his Nephew David Lawson
   he left the sum of five pounds - and to his near
   Neighbour John Curghey senr he left the sum of
   twenty and four shillings & sixpence, and to his
   friend James Clark senr of Aust he left the sum of
   five pounds Depending to him to look after
   the acts and papers belong to his loveing wife
   and to his loveing wife aforesd he left the Lands Houses
   Gardens & Hagard lately purched by them of and
   from William Crowe late of the Garys and also his
   Right of a parcel of land called Close-vark, together
   with his whole right & property to a parcel of land
   called Close-beg in the parish of Jurby.
Lastly He Nominated appointed and Ordained his
   loveing wife Margt whole and sole Exectrix of all the rest
   of his Goods and Cathels moveable and immoveable
   whatsoever whither Lands or Goods
I Philip Brew do affirm and sign this to be my Last
   Will in presence of the subscribing witnesses and
   to the witnesses of this his Will he left fourteen pence a piece

the 18th day of December 1795
The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law
and hath given Pledges for payment of Debts
and Legacies namely the Witnesses of the
Will

We David Lawson & John Curghy Senr two of the
Legatees named in the within will of Philip Brew do each of
us hereby acknowledge to have recd the respective Legacies
of five Pounds, twenty four shillings & six pence bequeathed
unto us by the last Will & Testament of Philp Brew aforesaid &
we do each of us hereby acquit relese & dischared the
Execr of the last Will & Testatment of sd Philip Brew of all
Claims or Demands for or on acct of our respective
legacies of five pounds & twentyfofur shills & sixpence recd

I James Clark the within named Legatee 
do hereby acknowledge to be fully paid the sum
of five pounds a legacy bequeathed me by the last
Will & Testament of the Testator Philip Brew & I do
hereby acquit release exonerate & discharge the Excr
of the last will & Testament of Philip Brew of all Claims
& demands for or on acct of the said Legacy of five
pounds bequeathed me as aforesd. As witness my
subscription this 10th Decr 1800
