June [8] 1796. Ballaugh The Last Will and Testament of John Cannell of Ballaugh Testifieth that he committed his soul to God and his Body to Christian Burial and his Worldly goods he left and Bequeathed as follows ~ First he left and Bequeathed to his Son Nicholas Cannell two Pounds as Leageacy ~ Secondly he left and Bequeathed to his Daughter Joney the wife of John Grimsha[w] two Pounds as Legeacy ~ Lastly he nominated conmitted and appointed his loving Wife Joney Cannell otherwise Craine and his Son Patrick Cannell Joint Executors of all the rest of his goods moveable and Immoveable of what kindsoever yet neither of these Leageacyes are [erased] to be paid by the Executors untill the Death of his sd wife Witnesses Phillip Corlett | |- Jurati Thomas Cottier | At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael on the 17th Octr 1796 The Exors. are sworn in Court in form of Law ?? ??? [next page] to be faithful and just each to the other in the division of the Residuism of the Estate of the Testator and have given pledges for the paymt. of Debts and Legacies [namely] the witnesses of the Will. Probatum est Ev: Christian Wm: Clucas Nicholas Cannell acknowledges to have received from Patk Cannell the Excr of the within Will of John Cannell deceased the Legacy of two pounds bequeathed to him in the said Will and acquits exonorates and discharges the sd Patk Cannell & every other person of the Same.
