51 April 18th 1795 This is to be the Last Will and Testament of Michael Kaneen (of Ball-a-gane) of the parish of KK Andreas Being of a Sound mind and memory at the making thereof ---------- First He Committed his Soul to God and his Body to Christian Burial -------------------- Likewise He Left to his Son Daniel Kaneen the sum of Twenty Shillings; And to his Son Thomas Kaneen the sum of Twenty Shillings with one bowl of Barley; Also He Left to his Son Michael Kaneen the sum of Ten Pounds which is part of a Mortgage Money in John Cannel Lands with one Blanket & one Coverlett Also He Left to his son Charles Kaneen the sum of Ten Pounds which is also a part of a Mortgage Money in J John Cannel Lands with one Blanket & one Coverlett ---------------- Also He Left to his son Stephen Kaneen the sum of Twenty Shillings with Three Tubs of Barley; Also He Left to his son William Kaneen the sum of Twenty Shillings; Also He Left to his Daughter Bahee the Wife of John Kneal the sum of Ten Pounds Also He Left to His Son John Kaneen the sum of Twenty Shillings; Also He Left to to his Daughter Joney Kaneen the sum of Ten Pounds with one Blanket & one Coverlett, Also He Left to Alice Cleatter Ten Shillings; Also He Left to His Dear Wife Margery Kaneen all the Unsheap Linnen Cloth ------------------- Lastly He Constituted and Appointed His Daughter Margery Kaneen a Sole Executor of all the Rest of His Goods Moveable or Immoveable of What kind or Nature Soever this Day and year above Written Michael Kaneen my mark X Witnesses present John Cain } Thos Christian } Jurati At a Court holden in the parish of KK Bride the 15th day of Janry 1796 John Quirk husband of Margery Kaneen the Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given Pledges for payment of Debts and Legacies namely Stephen Kaneen of K K Bride & Philip Quirk of KK Andreas Probatum est Wm Clucas We Thomas Kaneen, William Kaneen, John Kaneen, Stephen Kaneen & John Kneale husband of Bahee Kaneen & Alice Cleator do each of us … respective Legacies bequeathed unto each of us by the Last Will & Testament of our said Father Michael Kaneen of all claims and demands for or on account of the several Legacies bequeathed unto each of us respectively by the last will & Testament of our Father Michael Kaneen signing our names & marks this 2d March 1796 ---- Thomas Kaneen William Kaneen his X John Kaneen his X Stephen Kneen John Kneale his X Alice Cleator her X I Daniel Kaneen Son of the Testator Michael Kaneen do hereby acknowledge to have red the Legacy of twenty shillings bequeathed me by the Last will & Testament of my deceased Father Michael Kaneen, & I do hereby release & acquit ….
