   KK Andreas April the 5th 1798
The last will & testament of William Sayle of the
parish of Andreas aforesd
First I leave & bequeath to my son Thos that
parcels of my land called Quen Vastan and Croitt
Quark and also the black horse as legacy.
But in case my said son Thos and his mother do
not agree he is not to possess the beforenamed
Quen Vartan - But I leave & bequeath unto
him Croit E Chonney and Croitt E Quark and
he is not to sell nor mortgage any of the said
crofts but only to change the mortgage thereon.
I leave & bequeath to my two sons Charles and
John that parcel of my land calle Philip Cowle's
croft and if one of them is willing at any time
to sell or dispose of said croft the other is to get the
first offer, and they are not to possess the same
untill the[y] attain to the age of twenty two years and
they are to pay my son William five pounds 
at possessing the same.
I leave & bequeath to my said son William that
parcel of my land called Barrys field.
I do leave & bequeath to my two daughters vizt
Esther & Charlotte the one half of my Curragh and
thirty pounds each as legacy.
I do leave & bequeath to my daughter Hannah
the sum of forty poounds when she shall attain

   to the age of twenty years without any .....
   Lastly I do nominate and appoint my [loving]
   wife Ann Sayle whole & sole Executrix [of all]
   the residue of my goods chattle & effect w[hat]
   soever.

             KK Bride 11th May 1798
      The Executrix is sworn in Court in form [of]
      law and hath givnen pledges for payment [of]
      debts and legacies namely John Kaighin
      one of the witnesses of the Will and Charles .....
      of the parish of Andreas. She is also sworn
      guardian and supervisor of the children
      under age

March 25th Patrick Christian enters a claim agt the
      estate of Wm Sayle for the sum of £13-0-0 & craves
April 11th 1799 Philip Keigg enters a claim agt Do for £0-4-6

                  To the Revd William Clucas Vicar
                  General etc.
                  The humble petition of Ann Sayle
                  of the parish of Andreas (widow)
Sheweth
        That your petrs husband William Sayle of
   said parish lately departed this life who previous to
   his decease made his last will & testament and
   among other things mentioned therein appointed
   your petr Executrix of all the residue of his goods
   & effects whatsoever
       That your petr having some beasts to
   dispose of and the [sailes] being now coming on
   would wish to have said will proved in your Reverences
   Court and your petr sworn Executrix in form of law.
              Your petr therefore prays that
              your Reverence would be graciously
              pleased to take this matter to your
              consideration and grant your
              authority to charge the witnesses of
              said will and the next of kin to 
              the deceased, and that your petr
              may be sworn Executrix in form
              of law as aforesd and she shal pray etc

      Ordered that the within written petn do come on
      to be heard at a Court to be holden in the parish of 
      Bride on friday next whereof all proper parties
      and persons to have due notice.
              Given the 9th May 1798

I do hereby certify that pursuant to an order of the
Revd Vicar Genl Clucas granted on the petition of
Ann Sayle of Andreas (widow) I charged Thos
Esther Charlote Chars Jno Hannah and Wm
Sayle to appear Defts & Elinor Radcliffe
witness to appear before his Revce at KK
Bride on friday next by ten o'clock in the
forenoon to answer the suit of the above ...
