Jurby 1799 This is affirmed by the witnesses whose names are hereunto subscribed to be the last will and testament of Daniel Kneen of the parish of Jurby who being sick and weak in body but of sounds mind and memory did on the ninth day of July instant in presence of us the witnesses proclaim pronounce and declare his last will and testament in the following manner and form: First He committed his soul to God and his body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial. Also he left and bequeathed to Margt his beloved wife his part of the bed whereon he was then lying and also his part of a chest which was notified to us the witnesses. Lastly he left and bequeathed to his two daughters namely Anne and Mary Kneen all the rest of his goods and effects of whatsoever nature and denomination whom he also nominated constituted and appointed sole executrixes of this his last will and testament. In witness whereof we the witnesses have caused our names and marks to be hereunto set this 13th day of July 1799. Proclaimed pronounced and declared by the testator as his last will and testament in presence of us. Elinor Cannon my mark x Anne Callister my mark x Jurati At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael on the 12th day of October 1799. The executrixes are sworn in court in form of law and also to be true and just each to the other in the division of the testators estate and have given pledges namely for the payment of debts and legacies namely John Kneen of KK Andreas and Thomas Tear of BallaTeare in the parish of Jurby.
