14          Braddan
This is affirmed by the witnesses to be the last 
will and testament of William Crebbin of the Parish 
of KK Braddan, the same uttered and declared by 
the Testator on the seventh day of March one 
thousand seven hundred and ninety nine and committed 
to writing on the fourteenth day of there[?] xxxx 
instant month, he being weak in body but of sound 
mind and memory at declaring the same in manner following.  
Item, he committed his soul to God and his body 
to Christian burial.  
Item, he bequeathed and left unto his eldest daughter 
Margaret Crebbin the sum of twelve shillings and three pence.  
Item, he bequeathed and left unto his daughter 
Catharine Crebbin a cow called by the name of Slately.  
Item, he bequeathed and left unto his only son and 
heir his share or moiety of the plough of the garden 
spade and of the hedge spade.  
Item, he bequeathed and left unto his granddaughter 
Hannah Crebbin a sheep and lamb. 
Item, he bequeathed and left unto his grandson 
William Crebbin a lamb together with his great coat. 
Lastly, he nominated and appointed his youngest 
daughter Esther Crebbin sole executrix of all the 
rest of his goods and effects moveable and 
immoveable of what kind or denomination whatever.

At a Chapter Court holden at 
Douglas June 5th 1799: 
The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law & 
hath given pledges for the payment of debts and 
legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
