Know all Men by these presents
that I Paul Clague of the parish of KK
Christ Lezayre for and in Consideration
of the Love Good Will and Natural Affection
which I have and do bear towards my
daughter Dutifull and well beloved Daughter
Alice Clague otherwise Corlet, now the wife
of John Corlett (weaver of the sd Parish who do
reside with me) and upon whose help and
assistance I do now depend in my
declineing years as also for and in
Consideration of the Other Covenants and
Obligations herein after mentioned, Do give
grant settle estate and confirm and by
these presents have given granted and
forever absolutely settled estated and confirmed
to and upon her my said daughter als Clague
now Corlett and her assigns all and singular
that small Craft and Garden and Houses
belonging to me and where I dwell being
Intack of two pence yearly chief rent situated near Garrets
Mill in the the sd parish of Lezayre adjoining to
Thomas Casements land on the south west
and to the High way on the north east from
me the sd Paul Clague and from every one
that in any respect might persume or pretend
to claim any right under me or after me
To have and to hold unto her my said
daughter and her assigns all & singular
the sd settled and estated premes and every
individual part and member of the same
and every thing thereunto belonging
with the whole issues and profits thereof
together with all my wordly goods chattels
credits and effects of what kind nature
or denomination soever and all what
is aforementioned to be possessed and
enjoyed by her my sd daughter immediately
upon my decease but no sooner unless I
shall see reason to give it to her Provided
always and nevertheless that in case she
my said daughter shall happen to die
before me then and in that case all the
premes and every thing beforementioned
or that my be understood to be herein
before comprehended are to revert and
return to me the sd Paul Clague as my
own absolute right and property to
dispose thereof to whoesovever I shall
think proper in my own descretion
and it is also covenanted and agreed upon
by and between the sd Paul Clague and
John Corlettt my son in law and Alice
his wife my daughter aforesd that in case
she my said daughter shall survive me
and possess the premes aforementioned
and then afterwards she to die before her 
said husband John Corlett and without
issue that then and in such a case by
the full and free consent of the sd John
Corlett that it shall be in the power of
the sd Alice his wife wholey to dispose
of the aforementioned firm or land settled
and estated premises to whomesover she
in her discretion shall think proper he
the sd John Corlett in that resepect hereby
excluding himself from any right further
then his life time in the premises unless
Alice his said wife shall think fit and
proper to allow or give him a further
right they the sd John Corlett and Alice
his wife aforesd (in case she the sd Alice
shall survive me the sd Paul Clague)obliging
themselves to take all due care of me in
sickness and provide all things necessary
for me in such my wake condition and
have me decently buried, And further
to shew testify and declare that this
is my voluntary Act & Deed by me made
without any faud imposition or circam...
I have with these presents delivered unto
her my said daughter Alice one Coined
piece of silver called an English shilling
in presence of the subscribing witnesses
as delivery seizen possession and 
investiture of all and delivery singular
the premes after my decease as aforesd.
And for the true and faithful performance
of all and singular the before written
Deed of Settlement and the Covenants &
Obligations therein mentione both parties
as far as they are respectively concerned do
hereby formly bind and oblige themselves
the either party to the other and their
respective heirs exors admors and assigns
in the penalty of sixty pounds sterling
to be levied and paid according to Law.
As witness their resepctive names hereunto
sett and subscribed the 19th of Feby 178[8]

Paul Clague acknowledged the
before written Deed of Settlement
to be his proper Act & Deed.

    At a Court Baron holden in the
    House of Danl Stephen in Ballaugh
    for Ayre Sheading this 19th day of
    May 1790
The before written Deed of Settlement having
been acknowledged before the High Bailiff
and now openly Published in Court and
no objection offered against it, The same
is therefore allowed of and confirmed.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre July 2?
1800
   The before written Deed of Settlement having
been lawfully proved the same is acceptd as the
will of Paul Clague the Donor. It. John Corlett
husband of Ann Clague the donor is sworn 
in Court in form of law & hath given pledges
for the paymt of debts namely Patr Caley
& Ewan Gill both of Lezayre.
