Ballaugh At a Chapter Court holden in the Court house in the parish of KK Michael on the 1st day of July 1800 Joney Corlett als Quayle of the parish of Ballaugh having departed this life on or about the 13th day of the month of February last past intestate, and this court having received intelligence thereof hath decreed her children namely Thos. William, Elinor, Jane, and Margaret Corlett joint administrators of all and singular her goods, rights, credits, chattels, and effects movable and immovable whatever, and they the said Thomas William, Jane and Margaret being under age and the said Ellinor altho of age yet being of too tender years to undertake the burden of the administration of the estate of the said intestate hath committed the same to Wm Corlett their father, and he is thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the said estate in trust for the said administrators to exhibit into the Episcopal Registry a full true and perfect inventory thereof and to pay all her just debts so far forth as he goods and effects will extend and the law bind him and to be guardian and supervisor of her said children who are under age and to these ends he hath given pledges in form of law namely Daniel Stephen of the Grange in Lezayre and John Tear of Ballaugh. Decretum est Ev Christian John Crellin Wm Corlett was sworn administrator 1st day of July 1800 - Administrator in Trust that the goods appraised at the appraised value be kept for the benefit of the children and their education support and maintenance.
