In the name of God, Amen. I Jane Crebbin of the 
parish of KK St Ann and widow of the Revd. Paul 
Crebbin late Vicar of the said Parish being far 
advanced in age but blessed be God of sound mind 
memory and understanding and considering the 
uncertainty of this mortal life do make this my 
last will and testament in the following manner: 
First, I commend my soul to God who gave it 
humbly and relying on his mercies in Christ 
Jesus my blessed Redeemer for the pardon of 
all my sins. 
I bequeath to the poor of the parish of KK 
Arbory the sum of twenty shillings, and to 
the poor of the parish of KK St Anne the sum 
of twenty shillings which several sums my 
will are to be put out to interest for the 
use of the said poor. 
I bequeath to my son William Crebbin merchant 
in Douglas the sum of one pound four shillings 
and six pence. 
Also, I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane 
Crebbin all the consideration money due to me 
on account of a deed of sale bearing date the 
7th of June 1763, made by my husband the Revd. 
Paul Crebbin late Vicar of KK St Ann and myself 
of the lands of Ballafurt, Crot-ny-cooiley 
and the Moaney, to our son William Crebbin 
merchant in Douglas. 
Lastly, I nominate constitute and appoint 
my son the Revd. Charles Crebbin Vicar of 
KK St Ann and my daughter Jane Crebbin joint 
executors of this my will and residuary 
legatees of all the rest of my goods and 
effects moveable and immovable what nature 
or kind soever. 
In witness whereof I have caused my name 
and mark to be put hereunto this tenth day 
of March one thousand seven hundred and 
eighty four.

At an Eccliastical Court holden in 
the Court house in the Parish of 
KK Patrick on the 7th day of March 1800
Jane Wynne alias Crebbin one of the executors named 
in the before going will being off the Island, the 
Revd. Charles Crebbin the other executor therein named 
is sworn in Court in form of law is also to be true 
and just . . . 

The humble petition of Charles Crebbin 
Clerk Vicar of the Parish of KK Santon, 
Sheweth 
that your petitioner’s mother Jane Crebbin departed 
this life sometime in the . . of November last having 
previous thereto duly made and published her last 
will and testament in writing and appointed your 
petitioner and her daughter Jane Wynne otherwise 
Crebbin joint executors thereof as by the said 
will dated the 10 March 1784 may more fully appear; 
that the said Jane Wynne at present off this 
Island abroad beyond Seas, wherefore your 
petitioner humbly prays for a hearing of 
this petition and that the burden of the 
executrix of the said will may be 
committed to your petitioner . . . 

By virtue of the Revd. Vicar General Christian’s authority 
granted upon the petition of the Revd Charles Crebbin Vicar 
of St Ann, I have served and charged Captn Harry Grice and 
his wife Isabella Grice als Crebbin and likewise Hester 
Crebbin widow of William Crebbin late deceased, and Cath. 
Crebbin daughter of the said Wm & Hester Crebbin to appear 
before his Reverence at an Ecclesiastical Court to be 
holden in the parish of KK Patrick . . . 
This I aver this 6th day of March 1800.

By virtue of the Revd. Vicar General Christian’s authority 
upon the petition of the Revd. Charles Crebbin of KK Santan, 
I have served and charged Hester Crebbin widow, Mrs. Whiting 
and other daughters of Douglas as deponents to appear before 
his said Reverence . . . 
as witness my subscription this 5th day of March 1800.
