Mary Stowell alias Rattliff of the town of Ramsey Widow being ill in health and 
considering the uncertainty of this life Do make and publish and declare this my last will 
and testament in manner following Viz.
First I commit my soul unto the mercy of God and my Body to be interred in a suitable      
manner.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto my only daughter Margaret Stowell all and singular 
my worldly goods, credits, chattels and effects of whatsoever nature or denomination 
except what is herein after particularly bequeathed providing my said daughter arrives at 
the age of twenty-one years or intermarries previous to that age until which time or 
circumstance takes place my will is that the interest of all my property be paid and 
applied unto the maintainance, support and education of my said daughter by my 
executor herein afterward named and in case the yearly _____ of my estate does not 
amount to six pounds British I desire that so much be taken and allowed from principal 
will make it six pounds British aforesaid which I allow my exectrix to be _____ pay and 
apply toward the aforesaid purposes as before directed.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath unto my two sisters Jane Rattliff and Elizabeth Rattliff all 
and singular  my cloak and apparrel of every description equally shared and share alike 
between them and to all cravers one shilling.
Fourthly I nominate, constitute and appoint my sister Jane Rattliff Exectrix in trust of this 
my last will and testament and also appoint her my said sister and my brother Robert 
Rattliff guardians of my said daughter and hereby _____ that all the property bequeathed 
her be converted into cash as soon as possible after my decease and the to be placed or 
laid out to interest which interest is to be applied as before directed.
In case of the decease of my said daughter before her arrival a the age of Twenty one 
years or before her marriage  then and in that case I leave and bequeath all and singular 
my goods, chattels, credits and effects of whatever name, nature or denomination unto 
my sister Jane Rattliff and Elizabeth Rattliff equally and shared and share alike between 
them. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my mark to my name this ninth day of 
December in the [year] of our Lord 1799.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre July 2 1800.
Jane Radcliffe the Exec in trust named in this will is sworn ____ so fulfill the last will 
and testament of the Testatrix and hath given pledges for the payment of Debts and 
Legacies namely the witnesses of the will. She is also with her brother Robert Radcliffe 
are sworn guardians and supervisors of the Testatrix child who is under age.
