      The last will and testament of Joseph Lawson
      officer of Derbyhaven and formerly from the north
      of England who departed this life upon the 6th of April
      1801 and who was sound an perfect in mind
      and memory at the making hereof.
First he committed his sould to Almighty God and 
      his body to Christian burial.
Secondly He left and bequeathed his watch to John
      Clague son of Richard Clague of Derbyhaven.
Thirdly He left and bequeathed all the rest of all his
      wordly goods and effects moveable and immoive=
      able whatsoever to his well beloved friend John
      Smith of Derbyhaven and also nominated and 
      appointed him the sd John Smith to be whole
      and sole Executor thereof and excluded and
      debarred all cravers with six pence a
      piece as legacy.

      The Exor is sworn in Court in form of law
      & hath given pledges for the payment 
      of debts & legacies namely John Shimmin
      & Thos Corkill the witness both of Malew.
