Robert Christian Jurby 1804 A 52 In the name of God Amen I Robert Christian of the parish of Jurby being weak in body but by the blessings of God at sound perfect mind & memory do make this my last will in form as follows the 29th. Day of November 1803. ~~~~~~ First I committed my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. One I leave to my mother the sum of ^ guniea I leave to my son William the sum of Fifteen pounds British and the best of the looms together with half of the reeds & hettles and my part of the sheep and all my shaped apparell. British I leave to my son Robert the sum of Fifteen pounds ^ but if the sd. William or Robert happen to die before the age of Twenty years that the other is to have his legacys I leave to each claimer sixpence. To the witnesses one shilling each Lastly I nominate ordain & appoint my loving wife Margaret whole and Sole Executrix of all the rest of my goods and (money) moveable or immoveable of what Nature Soever Witnesses Thomas Brew} Jurati ~ Thos. Kelly } At a Consistory Court holden in the Parish of KK Michael on the 20th. Day February 1804. The Executrix is sworn in Court ( next two words crossed out) in form of law and also to be Guardian of the Testators children who are under age and hath given Pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely Thos. Kelly and Thos. Christian both of Jurby ~~ Thos. Christian and Thos. Kissack Uncles to the said children on their Fathers Side are [likewise] sworn their guardians & supervisors.
