In the name of God Amen.
I Francis DelaPryme of Douglas Isle of Man taking into consideration the
uncertainty of this mortal life - Do make this my last will in manner
following:
First I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. Secondly
I leave and devise to my brother Abraham DelaPryme the sum of fifty pounds
British.
Thirdly I leave to my niece Elizabeth the sum of five hundred pounds
British in case she remains single and unmarried during her life time of
her aforesd father Abraham DelaPryme, or upon her marrying with the free
will and consent of her said father,otherwise the aforsd sum of five hundred
pounds I leave to her sd father Abraham DelaPryme.
Fourthly I leave to my niece Mary, daughter of my aforsd brother
Abraham DelaPryme the sum of five hundred pounds British provided she
attains the age of twenty one years or marries before or after that
period with her fathers consent, otherwise the aforsd sum of five hundred
pounds I leave to my nephews and Nieces, son and daughters of my brother
James DelaPryme of Blackburn, share and share alike.
Fifthly I leave to my godson Thomas, son of my most worthy friend Thomas
Stowell Esqr Advocate the sum of one hundred pounds British. Also I leave to
Hester daughter of the foresd Thomas Stowell and niece
to my beloved wife the sum of three hundred pounds British provided she the
aforsd Hester Stowell attains the age of twenty one years,
otherwise I leave the aforsd sum of three hundred pounds British to my wife
Hester DelaPryme.
Sixthly I leave to my brother James DelaPryme and Isaac Glover Esq both of
Blackburn Lancashire fifty pounds British each.
Seventhly I leave to my wife, all that estate called Bally Glonney in
Braddan.  I further leave to my beloved wife, Hester, daughter of Lewis
Geneste of Douglas, Merchant, the sum of three thousand one hundred and
fifty pounds British together with the amount of all my mortgages,
bonds, notes, or property of every name or description bit particularly a
mortgage upon the grange estate in the parish of Lezaire for the sum of nine
hundred pounds British.  I leave to my said wife the dwelling house
and premises belonging now in the occupation of Mr John Bell - Also the
dwelling house now erecting with the premies belonging and which I purchased
from Mrs Kewn - Also all those houses and concerns situated near the Cattle
Market called Kelly's Herring House and part rented by
John Taylor, Hugh, and James Glen and Nicholas Kneen.  I leave to my said
beloved wife my estate of Glashin purchased from William Crellin, also a
dwelling house I rented to the Revd Thomas Costly situate in the town of
Castletown - Also a dwelling house and garden situated near Ballasalla
called Redferns House and now sett to John Callow.  I leave to my
beloved wife all my plate, furniture, etc.
And I do hereby constitute my said wife sole executrix and residuary legatee
of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former will or
wills in witness whereof I subscribed my name and afixed
my seal this 6th day of September 1803.

in the year of our Lord 1805.
Hester DelaPryme sworn executrix with pledges being Robert Cannell and Paul
