At a Chapter Court holden in the parish of Lezayre on the 20th day of
November 1806.

Charles Joughin of the parish of Andreas having departed this life on or
about the 27 day of month of August last past intestate and the court having
received intelligence thereof hath decreed his eight children
namely William, James, John, Elizabeth, Ann, Jane, Isabella and Esther
Joughin co-administrators of all and singular his goods rights credits
chattels and effects movable and immovable whatever and the said Elizabeth
altho of age yet being absent and the said James, John,  Ann, Jane,
Isabella, and Esther being under age William aforesaid and Ann Joughin their
mother are sworn their guardians and supervisors and the said William in his
own right and also in trust with the said Ann are
sworn well and truly to administer the estate and effects of the said
intestate to exhibit a full true and perfect inventory thereof into the
Episcopal Registry and to pay all his just debts so far forth as his goods
and effects will extend and the law bind them and to these ends they
have given pledges in form of law namely John Moore of KK Bride and Robert
Radcliffe of Ramsey.   Decretum est Ev.Christian John Cretin Inventory not
included.
The humble petition of William Joughin and Ann Joughin administrators
in trust of the estate of Charles Joughin late of the parish of KK Andreas
deceased.
Sheweth:
That Letters of Administration of the estate and effects of the said
decedent were granted to your petitioners on the 20 of November in the year
1806.
That your petitioners have returned to the Episcopal Registry a perfect
inventory of the said estate and effects the amount whereof is considerably
deficient to pay and discharge the amount of all the claims entered and
proved against the said estate.
Wherefore your petitioners humbly prays for a hearing of this petition
and that your Reverence may be pleased to Order a Distribution of the
said estate to be made among the claimants thereof and that the several
orders against the petitioners in the capacity aforesaid may in the mean
time be stayed and suspended and your petitioners shall pray.
5 May 1808
Ordered that the before going petition do come on to be heard at a Chapter
Court to be holden in the parish of Lezayre on Tuesday the 18th instant and
all ordered against the petitioners are hereby ordered to be stayed and
suspended.  Thereof all proper parties and persons are to have due notice.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre on Tuesday the 28th June 1808 Upon
hearing the before going petition in the presence of the parties and upon
consideration had thereof as also of what was pleaded argued
alleged exhibited and admitted by the parties respectively it appears
that the estate of the said Charles Joughin is not sufficient for the full
payment of his debts and it is thereupon hereby ordered adjudged and decreed
that the Episcopal Register or his Deputy do forthwith proceed and ascertain
the amount of the said estate and after deducting there from such debts as
have a priority of payment out of the said estate that he do afterwards
ascertain and state the dividends of the remainder of the said estate that
become due to the common creditors of the same ------- ------ and that then
the petitioners do pay unto the said
common creditors their respective dividends thereof so ascertained and
