In the Name of God Amen. I Paul Creer
of the Parish of Braddan being of sound mind
and disposing memory do ordain & appoint
this my Last Will & Testament as follows.

First I commend my Soul to God and my Body
to a Christian Burial
In like manner - I leave and bequeath unto my 
Daughter Catharine Crain als Creer the sum of
Two Pounds, Two Shillings British
I leave and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann 
Hutchen als Creer the sum of Two Pounds, Two Shillings 
British - - I leave and bequeath unto my son in
Law John Faragher all my crop - and my cart
and likewise the sum of Twenty Pounds which he (the
said John Faragher) was to pay by virtue of a Deed of
settlement (granted unto him by me) at possessing
the same as is in the Sd Deed specified. ---
I leave and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Mary
Gelling the sum of Two Pounds, Two Shillings British
I leave and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Jane
Hutchen the sum of Ten Shillings and six pence British
I leave and bequeath unto my Three Grand Children 
viz John Jane and Margaret Faragher one sheep and
one Lamb each.

To any person that may claim any right or title 
to my Effects I leave six pence Legacy - and Lastly
Lastly I nominate and appoint my son John 
Creer and my son in Law John Faragher Joint
Executors of  this my last Will & Testament
and residuary Legatees of the rest of my Goods 
and Effects moveable and immoveable of what 
Name and nature soever as witness my Name 
and mark the 22nd day of Jany. 1807

At a chapter Court Holden at Douglas
June 9th 1807
John Faragher one of the above named Executors having
departed this life but previous thereto by his Last
Will & Testament having appointed his wife
Jane Faragher Sole Executrix of his Last Will & Testament & John Creer the
other Executor named having by the annexed power of
Attorney appointed his lawful Attorney the said Jane Faragher the Extrx is therefore Jane Faragher sworn 
duly to fulfil the Last Will & Testament
of the said Paul Creer, to pay all his just Debts
& Legacies so far forth as the Goods will
extend & the law shall bind & to be true & just
to her Co-exor & hath given Pledges in form
of Law namely the witnesses of the Will

Know all men by these Presents, that I John
Creer of Ballaoates in the Parish of Braddan, Diverse
considerations and good causes not hereunto moving, have
made, ordained, constituted and appointed. And by these 
Presents do make, ordain, constitute and appoint my
trusty sister Jane Faragher als Creer of said Parish my
true & lawful Attorney, for me, in my Name, and to
my use, to ask, Demand, recover or receive any sum or
sums of money that are at present or may here
after be Due or owing to me, Giving, and by these
Presents granting to my said Attorney, my sole and
full power and Authority, to take, pursue and follow
such legal courses, for the Recovery, Receiving and obtain-
ing of any Debt or Debts that we at present or may
hereafter be due unto me, as I myself might or could do
were I personally present. And upon Receipt of the
Same Acquitances and other sufficient Discharges, for
me and in my Name, to make, sign, seal, and Deliver;
And also, one or more Attorney or Attorneys under her
to substitute or appoint, and again at pleasure to re-
voke ; and further to Do, perform and execute for me and
in my Name all and singular thing or things which
are or may be necessary, touching or concerning the
Premises, as fully, thoroughly and entirely, as I the said
John Creer in my own person might or could do in and
about the same; Ratifying, Allowing, and confirming
whatsoever my said Attorney shall lawfully do, or
cause to be done on and about the Execution of the
Premises; by virtue of those Present, In Witness
whereof I have hereby set my mark to my Name
the sixth day of June, one thousand Eight hundred
and seven.    6th June 1807

Wm Creer & Thos Curphey the subscribing 
witnesses to the beforegoing letter & power of 
Attorney deposed on the Holy Evangelist that

John Creer duly executed the same.
