This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Henry Kermod of Kirk
Christ Rushen made July 6th 1808 who was of sound mind and memory at the
making hereof.
First he committed his soul to Almighty God and his body to the earth and
Christian burial.
Item:  He left and bequeathed unto his son Henry Kermod thirty pounds Manks
and all his clothes woollen and linnen.
Item:  He left and bequeathed unto the poor of the parish twenty shillings.
Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving son in law John Maddrell to be
sole executor of all the rest of his money, goods, and effects and the house
he had in Peel and the house in Port St Mary and the garden that belongs to
it moveable and immoveable of what kind and nature whatsoever excluding and
---------------------- any person who should claim with six pence legacy
each.
Otherwise if the said Henry Kermod my son if he is to go to law with the
executor or give you any trouble about any of my goods and effects he is to
be cut out with ten pounds instead of the thirty pounds.
