       To the Reverend John Crellin clerk one
	   of the Vicars General of the dioceses of
	   Sodor and Man etc.
	       The humble petition of Elizabeth
		   Lawson of the Parish of Lezayre
		   widow of Thomas Lawson late of the said
		   parish deceased
		   
Sheweth
       That the said Thomas Lawson departed
   this life on or about the eighteenth day of
   February last past intestate.
       That certain of the goods and effects
   which are of the the Estate of the said Thomas
   Lawson are of a perishable nature and consequently
   require the immiediate care management and
   attention of some person or persons.
        That your Petitioner does not conceive
   herself authorized to take the management of
   the said estate on herselt until lawfully appointed so
   to do.
        That your Petitioner would humbly submit
   that the brothers of the said decedent namely
   Patrick, Robert, William and David Lawson all
   of the Parish of Jurby or some of them and proper
   persons to have the Administration of the said
   Estate committed unto them.
      Wherefore your Petitioner humbly
	  prays that your reverence may be
	  pleased to grant your order hereon for
	  the summoning of the beforementioned brothers
	  of the said deceased before your Reverence
	  at your Reverence's first Court and that
	  wupon consideration of the Premises they
	  the said Patrick, Robert, William and
	  David Lawson or some of them be granted Administration
	  of the said Estate or otherwise that your
	  Petitioner be granted Administration
	  thereon and that proper Guardians be
	  appointed on the minor children of your
	  Petitioner and the said Deceased with
	  such other and further relief in the premises
	  as to your Reverence may seem meet.
	    And your Petitioner will ever pray
		etc. etc.
		
Ordered that this Petition do come
on to be heard before me at ......
in Kirck Michael on Saturday next
by eleven o'clock to ... if all parties

             Lezyre
     At an Ecclesiastical Court holden at
	 Orrisdale in the parish of Kirk Michael
	 on the 5th day of March 1808
	 
   Thomas Lawson of the parish of Lezayre having
departed this life on or about the eighteenth day of
February last past intestate and the Court having
received intelligence thereof hath Decreed his
seven children namely Thomas, William, John
Daniel, Christian, elizabeth and Jane Lawson joint
Administrators of all and sigular his goods, rights
credits, chattels and effects moveable and immoveable
whatever and they being all under age, Elizabeth Lawson
their mother is thereupon sworn their Guardian and
Supervisor and in trust for them well and truly to
admiinster the Estate of the said Intestate, to exhibit
a full true and perfect Inventory thereof into the
Episcopal Registry and to pay all his just debts so far
forth as his ghoods and effect will extend and the Law
bind her and to these ends she hath given Pledges in
form of law namely David Lawson and Patrick Lawson
both of the said parish of Jurby. Patrick Lawson and
William Lawson uncles to the said children by their father's
side are also sworn their Guardians & Supervisors.
