134 Bride Whereas Mark Joughin of Knock Bane is the parish of KK Bride departed this life on or about the 30th January 1808 intestate and his children namely Danl Joughin, Wm Joughin, Charles Joughin, Mark Joughin, John Namear husband of Ann Joughin and Ann his wife and Margaret Joughin became entitled to his goods and effects equally between them. Therefore to lay aside all disputes touching the effects of the aforesaid deceadant we the before named parties have agreed as follows vizt First it is agreed upon that I the aforesaid Danl Joughin and eldest son and heir at law of the deceadant Mark Joughin do promise to give or pay unto Wm Joughin, Chas Joughin, Mark Joughin, and John Nameer and Ann his wife the sum of forty pounds British to be paid equally between them. And likewise to my youngest sister Margaret Joughin the sum of twenty pounds British besides the feather bed, bed stock and bedding. Namely two quilts, two blankets, two sheets and a bolster and a web of cloth and some thread. And I do likewise promise to give unto my sister Margaret Joughin a white cow called Briggin Veg. And I do likewise give unto Wm Joughin, Charles Joughin, Mark Joughin, and John Nameer of web of sale woolen cloth dressed and also a piece of olive dressed cloth equally between them in part with myself in said cloth. And it is to be observed that as our mother Esther Joughin is likewise dead, that the before going agreement is and do settle both for the effects of our father Mark Joughin and our mother Esther Joughin both deceased. And for the true and faithful performance of all and singular the before going agreement we the aforesaid Danl Joughin, Wm Joughin, Chas Joughin, Mark Joughin and John Nameer for and in behalf of myself and Ann my wife do bind and oblige ourselves under the penalty and forfeiture of one hundred and twenty pounds sterling to be layed and paid according to law As witness our names and marks this 15th day of Feb 1808. Daniel Joughin one of the parties acknowledged the before going agreement to be his proper act and deed and Wm Christian and Wm Joughin the subscribing witness made oath on the Holy Evangelists that Wm Joughin, Charles Joughin, Mark Joughin and John Nameer and Margaret Joughin duly executed the beforegoing agreement.
