Patrick In the name of God Amen The last will and testament of Philip Sayle of Lhoan Rushin in the parish of KK Patrick being sick and weak in body but yet being of a perfect mind, memory and understanding and called to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life I do therefore settle my worldly effects in manner and form following: First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a Christian burial. Item I leave and bequeath unto my three children vizt Philip, Christian, and Margaret the sum of ten pounds. And lastly I constitute nominate and appoint my son Henry Sayle my whole and sole executor of all the rest of my goods and effects be they of what denomination whatsoever and I do exclude and debar all person or persons claiming any further right in my will with six pence legacy as witness my name and mark this 19th of April 1808. Philip Sayle my mark x Witnesses present: Margaret Kermode her mark x Philip Quirk jurati At Chapter Court holden at KK Patrick June 23d 1808 Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet as no objections has been offered the executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies vizt the witness to the will Probatum est Thos Cubbon Nicks Christian March 9th 1809 Thos Cannell and Christian his wife claim from the estate of Philip Sayle a feather bed promised to them by the said deceased and crave the law. W. Kewley D.Epl Reg. John Quane husband of Margt Sayle acknowledges to have received from Henry Sayle the sum of three pounds six shillings and eight pence being in full for his wife's share and proportion of the legacy of ten pounds mentioned in the above will of Philip Sayle deceased and exonerates, acquits, releases and discharges the said Henry Sayle and his executors administrators and assigns of the same . As witness his name and mark this 17th Jan 1810. John Quane his x mark Before me Wm Kewley D. Epl Reg Philip Sayle acknowledges to have received from his brother Henry Sayle executor of the will of Philip Sayle deceased his proportion of the legacy of ten pounds bequeathed in and by the said will and hereby exonerates, acquits, and discharges the said Henry Sayle his executor, administrators and assigns of the same.
