Lonan 

KNOW ALL MEN by these presents That we
John Kewley of the Town of Douglas Master and – 
Mariner and William Kewley of the same place – 
Shoemaker, being Brothers and two of the Sons of – 
John Kewley late of Ball a Core in the parish of Lonnan
now deceased Intestate, being the only of his Children
not provided for by him, In Consideration of a Deed
of assignment bearing equal date herewith from Mary
Kewley our Mother the Widow, of a mortgage which
the said John Kewley had upon the Estate of Balla – 
Cannell in KK Lonan aforesd. for the principal money
of seventy five pounds Manks Currency date 26th of May
1792 – from John Cowin the proprietor and Isable – 
his wife and the Consideration in the said Deed of
Assignmt. mentioned HAVE GIVEN GRANTED REMIND – 
Released and relinguished AND by these presents
DO Give Grant Remise Release and Relinguish unto
her the said Mary Kewley our Mother, ALL right
                        we 
benefit and Title which ^ may be intitled unto, in the
                                 & Effects
remainder of the Goods Chattells ^ of our said Deceased
Father the said John Kewley TO have and TO hold 
the same unto her the said Mary Kewley her Executors
Administrators and Assigns / save and except the said
John Kewley and William Kewley or our Exers. Admors.
[and] Assigns, AND we do authorise and impower the …. 
Letters of Administration Mary Kewley our Mother
to our said Father the said John Kewley as fully and
Amply as we could do the same – And for performance 
of the presents We the said John Kewley and William
Kewley do hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our
[Herein] Execrs. and Admors. in the penalty of one hundred
and fifty pounds Manks Currency to be levied and paid
according to Law – AS WITNESS our Hands or Mark to my
Name this twenty third day of May in the year one
thousand and eight hundred & eight. 1808 –

                              12th  October  1808

           John Kewley of the Parish of KK Lonan having
departed this Life on or about the 25th day of Decembr.
last past Intestate, And the Court having received 
Intelligence there of hath decreed his two Children
     of all his Goods Rights Credits Chattles and Effects
John & Wm. Kewley Co – Administrators  ^  the said
John & Wm. Kewley having by the Agreement
here unto annexed given up the rights of Admi =
= nistration to their Mother Mary Kewley She
is thereupon sworn well and truly to Adminis =
= ter the same, to pay all just debts of the
Intestate so far forth as the Goods will extend
and the Law bind her and to these ends she hath
given Pledges in form of Law namely her
Sons John Kewley and Wm. Kewley
