This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Richard Quirk of
Rheaby Moor in the parish of KK Patrick who departed this life on the
10th of November 1807 being in perfect mind memory and understanding
at the making thereof.
Item - He comitted this soul to Almighty God and his body to a Christian
burial.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto the poor people of the parish of KK
Patrick the just sum of ten pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his wife Margaret Quirk als Caine all
his goods and effects that was in the house accepting his money that is
in the house.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his grandaughter Ann Clucas the sum
of ten pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his grandaughter Cathrine Clucas the
sum of ten pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his daughter Eleanor Clucas als Quirk
and her husband Thomas Clucas the just sum of twenty pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed utno his daughter Ann Cavendish(Corjeage)
als Quirk the just sum of twenty pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his daughter Margaret Knickel als
Quirk the just sum of twenty pounds.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his son John Quirk the just sum of ten
pounds and all what sum of money that is due me from my son Richard
Quirk for his settlement and if in case my said son John happens to die
before the said sums of money be expended on him, the remainder of said
sums is to go to my four children vizt Richard, Eleanor Ann and Margaret
And Lastly - He constituted nominated and appointed his son Richard
Quirk his whole and sole executors of all the rest of his goods and
effects be they of what kind and denomination whatsoever this 13th of
November 1807.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Patrick June 23d 1808. The executor is
sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledge for the payment of
debts and legacies vizt the witnesses to the will. PROBATUM EST

March 15th 1809 William Knickel and Margt his wife enters a claim
against the estate of Richard Quirk the sum of 10 pounds 10 pence
British and craves the law.
Whereas my grandfather Richard Quirk of Rheaby Moor in the parish of
Patrick did by his last will and testament bearing date 13th of November
1807 amongst other bequests leave a legacy of ten pounds to me his
granddaughter Cathrine Clucas and whereas at a Chapter Court holden at

KK Patrick 23 Jun 1808 the said will was duly provide and probate
thereof granted to Richard Quirk his son the executor in said will named .
Know all men by these present that said William Radcliffe and Cathrine
Radcliffe alias Clucas my wife do hereby own and acknowledge to have
received from the said executor the late Richard Quirk of Rheaby the
aforesaid sum of ten pounds in full payment satisfaction and discharge
of the aforesaid legacy. And we do hereby exonerate release acquit and
discharge the said executor the late Richard Quirk of Rheaby his
executors and administrator the estate of the said deceadent and every
person whomsoever of and form all further claim or demand on account
of the aforesaid legacy and every part thereof and we do by these
presents desire that the said legacy be cancelled on the said William
record as unto us as our subscriptions this 5th Feby 1869.

At Peel 9l March 1869 Wm Quayle who is personally known to me made
oath on the Holy Evangelists that Wm Radcliffe and Cathn Radcliffe duly
executed the foregoing receipt in his presence and in presence of Morris
Hastie the other witness. Before Me Robert Moore
18th Sept 1808 Received from Richard Quirk executor of the last will
and testament of Richard Quirk late of KK Patrick deceased the sum of
seven pounds thirteen shillings Manks in part of a legacy bequeathed unto
me by the said deceadent of twenty pounds currency. Thos Clucas
Recd 23d 1809 from Richard Quirk executor of the last will and
testament of Richard Quirk Senior late of Reaby in KK Patrick deceased
the sum of twenty pounds Manks being the full for the amount of a legacy
bequeathed me by the said deceadent witness my name the day and year
before written. William Cringal.

Rec'd 11th August 1809 from Richard Quirk executor of the last will and
testament of Richard Quirk senior late of Reaby in Kk Patrick deceased
the sum of twenty pound Manks being in full paid for the amount of a
legacy bequeathed me by the said deceadent. Witness my name the day

sum of 10 pounds currency being in full for the amount of a legacy

Rec'd 30 Apr 1814 from Richard Quirk executor of the last will and
testement of Richard Quirk senior late of Reaby more of KK Patrick
decesed the sum of ten pounds manks being in full for the amount of a
leagsy bequeathed me by the said deceadend.

the 19th day of November 1807 aged 81 years. Also in memory of
Margaret Ann daughter of Richard Quirk Esq of Rabeymoar Captain of
this parish who departed this life on the 25th day of June 1837 aged 6
months. Also in memory of Richard Quirk of Rabeymoar who departed
this life on the 22nd day of May 1849 aged 81 years.]
