This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Esther Sayle the wife
of William Sayle of the parish of KK Andreas who departed this life on or
about the 10th day of January last past who was of a sound mind and good
memory at making the same.
First she commited her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item:
She left and bequeath to her loving husband the said William Sayle all her
part of that place called Ballaletty's situated in the said parish of
Andreas together with all the rest of her part of their purchased lands
elsewhere.
Item:  She left to her eldest son John two shilling and six pence as legacy
and to the rest of her sons the sum of twenty pounds British each to be paid
them as they respectively attain the age of twenty one years and if in case
anyone of the said sons comes to be heir to the estate or estates of land
she was then entitled too he is to be cut off with two shillings and six
pence legacy and his legacy of twenty pounds British to be divided amongst
the rest of the chidlren equally between them.
Item:  She left and bequeathed to all her daughters the sum of forty pounds
British each to be paid them as they respectively attain to the age of
twenty one years and in case any of them would come to be heiress of the
estate or estates of land she was then entitled unto she likewise to be cut
off with two shillings and six pence legacy and her legacy to be divided
amongst the rest of my children equally between them.
Lastly - She nominated and constituted and appointed her aforesaid loveing
husband William Sayle whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of  all
the rest of her goods chattels and effects of what denomination soever.

The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies and is sworn guardian of the children under
age.  The pledges before mentioned being the witnesses of the will Probatum

I Thomas Quine husband of Jane Quine als Sayle of the town of Peel do
acknowledge to have received from William Sayle of the parish of KK Andreas
executor of the last will and testament of Esther Sayle his late wife
deceased the sum of forty pounds British being the amount of the legacy
bequeathed to my said wife in the said will and I do hereby release acquit
and exonerate and discharge the said William Sayle his executors
administrators and assigns of the same amd every part thereof.
As witness my subscription this 24th of May 1820.   Thomas Quine.
Acknowledged at the same time before me Henry Maddrell Ar Reg.
I John Kee husband of Mary Kneale Sayle of the parish of KK Andreas do
acknowledge to have received from William Sayle his late wife deceased the
sum of forty pounds British being the amount of the legacy bequeathed to my
said wife in the said will.  And I do hereby release acquit exonerate and
discharge the said William Sayle his executors administrators assigns of
sthe same and every part thereof.  As witness my subscription this 15th day

I John Cormode husband of Anne Cormode als Sayle of the parish of Andreas do
acknowledge to have received from Mr Willliam Sayle of the said parish of
Andreas the exedcutor of the last will and testament of Esther Sayle
deceased the sum of forty pounds British being the full amount of the legacy
left and bequeathed in and by the last will and testament of the said Esther
Sayle.  And I do hereby release acquit and dilscharge the said William Sayle
his heirs executors administrators and assigns of the same forever.  As
witness my subscription this first day of March 1831.                   John

The above named John Cormode acknowledged the above receipt and discharge
before me.

I John Wade of the parish of Andreas who is made constituted and appointed
the true and lawful attorney of his brother Thomas Wade late of the said
parish of Andreas in the Isle of Man but now of New York in America the
husband of Eleanor Wade als Sayle do acknowledge to have received from Mr
William Sayle of the said parish of Andreas the sum of forty pounds British
being the full amount of the legacy left and bequeathed to the said Eleanor
Wade the wife of my said brother Thomas Wade in and by the said will of
Esther Sayle deceased.  And I do hereby release acquiet and discharge lthe
said William Sayle his heirs executors administrators and assigns of the
same forever.  As witness my subscription this 1st March 1832.   John Wade.
At Lezayre 1 March 1832 - The above John Wade acknowledged the above receipt
and discharge before me   Henry Maddrell Ar. Reg.
