     Lezayre
At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 2nd 1809.
Judith Kewish als Quayle of the parish of Lezayre having departed this
life on or about the 26th day of October last past intestate.  The court
having received intelligence thereof hath decreed her three children
William, Thomas and John Kewish co-administrator of all her goods,
rights, credits, chattels, and effects moveable and immovable
whatsoever.
The said William, Thomas, and John Kewish having resigned and given up
all their right and title unto their mother's effects unto their father
William Kewish Senior on the conditions mentioned in the annexed agreement
the said William Kewish Senior is thereupon sworn well and
truly to administer the estate of the intestate, to pay all her just debts
so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind; and to these ends
he hath given pledges in form of law namely Wm Kewish Junior and John Kewish
his sons

Articles of Agreement conditioned and concluded upon between William Kewish
senior resident on the quarter land of Coilbane and parish of Lezayre on the
one part and William Kewish, Thomas Kewish and John Kewish sons of the
before mentioned William Kewish all of the aforesaid parish on the other
part with regard to the effects and goods of the aforesaid William Kewish
and wife who having died intestate.  I William Kewish senior do promise to
pay unto William, Thos and John Kewish the sum of two pounds and two
shillings British each and to deliver up unto
my said sons their Mother's share or part of the sheep.  We the before
mentioned William, Thos and John Kewish do acknowledge ourselves to
be fully and perfectly satisfied with what our father hath promised.  And
here we do unaminously give up and resign all our right and title unto our
Mother's effects or goods unto him or said father (except the two pounds and
two shillings British and the sheep as before mentioned.) of what nature or
denomination soever as his own right and property forever.  To be enjoyed
and possessed by him our said father as his own right and property forever,
without any disturbance or molestation from any
person or persons whomsoever.  And for fear that he our said father might be
brought to trouble, and called to render a particular account of our
mother's goods or effects after our decease.  We the aforesaid William, Thos
and John Kewish in order to indemnify him our said father,
do hereby acquit, exonerate, and discharge him our said father his executors
and assigns from any other or further demand to be made by us or any other
person who at any time hereafter may pretend or presume in any respect to
claim or demand any right to our goods or effects after our decease and for
the true and faithful performance and due performance of all and singular
the before written agreement, and every thing therein contained I the said
William Kewish Senior and we William, Thomas and John Kewish do hereby
firmly bind and oblige ourselves the either to the other, and our respective
heirs executors and
administrators and assigns in the penalty of one hundred pounds sterling to
be paid according to the law and practice within the Isle. As witness
our names here unto set and subscribed this the 31st day of October
1808
