In the name of God Amen
I Andrew Joughin of the Parish of Andreas being old and feeble in body
but by the blessing of God of sound disposing mind memory and understanding
do appoint and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form
following:
First I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the
earth to be buried in decent Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto the children of my late son Charles
the sum of four pounds to be equally divided among them and to be paid unto
them when they severally attain the age of sixteen years but if one or more
of them may happen to depart this life before they all come the age of
sixteen years then and in that case the said sum of four pounds is to be
equally divided among the survivors of them.  Also I leave bequeath and
devise unto my son Andrew all and singular my whole right and title
to a parcel of land called the Loughan Beg which I purchased from the
late Arthur Lace to be possessed and enjoyed by him  at the decease of my
wife Joney hereafter mentioned but if my grandson William Joughin
(son of Charles Joughin) shall pay or cause to be paid unto my said son
Andrew the sum of five pounds before the end and e------- years then
next ensuing then and in that case my said grandson William Joughin is
to have my part of the said Loughan Beg.  Also I leave and bequeath and
devise unto my said son Andrew all and singular my whole right and title
to two parcels of land (one of them willed the Marry's Field which I
purchased from the late James Wade and the late Philip Wade his son and the
other called the New Flatt or the Marry's Flatt which I purchased
from my son Philip Joughin) with all rights members and appurtenances
to the same belonging to be possessed by him at the decease of my said wife.
And he my said son Andrew when possessing the said parcel of
land called the Marry's Flatt or New Flatt to pay or cause to be paid unto
my daughter Joney for and in consideration hereof the sum of thirty five
pounds and the further sum of five pounds unto such person or persons as my
executrix shall bequeath the same to.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Philip the sum of twenty five pounds.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Jane the sum of twenty five
pounds.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Thomas the sum of twenty pounds and
to his son the sum of ---- shillings
I leave and bequeath unto my grandson Philip Joughin who now resides
with me the sum of twenty pounds to put him to trade and I do will and
declare and do hereby direct the said bequeathed legacies are not to be paid
until the decease of my said wife.
Lastly I leave bequeath and devise unto my most dearly beloved wife
Joney Joughin alias Sayle all the rest residue and remainder of my goods,
cash, credits, notes, bills, bonds, securities, mortgage, chattels and
effects of whatsoever name nature or denomination and all houses and lands
which may be lapsed unto me through Mortgage before or at the
time of my decease together with the free use, possession, and
enjoyment of the said devised premises during her natural life hereby
revoking, disannulling, and setting aside all former will or wills by me
before made signed or declared ratifying and confirming this to be my
last will and testament.  In witness whereof I have here unto subscribed
my name this 13th day of Sep 1809.

testament in our presence who at his request in his presence and in presence
of each other subscribed our names a witnesses thereunto
