In the name of God Amen.
I Richard Clucas of Kionshleau Moar in the parish of KK Patrick being
weak in body but of perfect sound and disposing mind and memory and
understanding.  And being desirous to make a disposition of and to settle my
worldly affairs do make this my last will and testament in manner
and form following.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent
Christian burial.
Item I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved son Hugh Clucas a gray mare
and my black coat.
Item:  I will devise and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Clucas wife
of John Clucas of Ballanicholas in the parish of Marown (what now
resides and lives with me) one half of my crop of corn and potatoes after my
decease and also all my shaped apparel except what has been before
in this will bequeathed and also I leave and bequeathed unto my said
daughter a further legacy of five pounds currency of this Isle.
Item:  I will devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Quirk Alias
Clucas a legacy of five shillings sterling.
Item:  I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved son and heir Wm Clucas
a legacy of five shillings sterling.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my loving wife Ann Clucas my
sole residuary legatee and whole executrix of this my last will and
testament excluding any and every person or person to who may claim a right
to my goods and effects by a legacy of one shilling.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed or added my mark to my name
this the nineteenth day of March 1804.          Richard Clucas

Ann Clucas the executrix before name having departed this life but previous
thereto when of sound mind and memory having duly made her last will and
testament and appointed her daughter Catharine Clucas sole executor of all
and singular her goods and effects John Clucas husband of said Catharine
Clucas is thereupon sworn executor in court in form of
law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the
witnesses of the will.  Probatum Est  Thos Cubbon


The humble petition of Anne Clucas (the widow and relict of Richard
Clucas of the parish of KK Patrick late deceased most humbly:
Sheweth:  That your petitioneršs husband Richard Clucas departed this
life on the nineth day of February last.  The at the said deceased some time
previous to his death committed his last will and testament into
writing and did therein and thereby nominate and appoint your petitioner
sole executrix of said will as by the same will fully appear; And your
petitioner having several very urgent reasons to have the said will
proved. And pray that your Reverence may be pleased to order a hearing of
this petition with authority to charge the witnesses to the said will
as also the next of kindred to make their objections if any they have. The
granting of which will caused your petitioner to pray.
Ordered that the beforegoing petition do come on to be heard at an Eccl
Court to be holden in the court house in this parish tomorrow whereof all
proper parties and persons to have due notice.
