Onchan 1810 N° 2 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Mary Castle alias Cowen alias Fayle of Concon Deceased which she declared unto us calling us as witnesses on Tuesday 25th September 1810 being of sound mind & memory at the making thereof. Viz First She committed her soul to God & her body to Christian Burial - Item She willed and bequeathed to her three sons Thomas Cowen James & Daniel Castle two shillings and sixpence to each of them as a Legacy Item She Nominated & Appointed her Husband Thomas Castle and her daughter Margaret Cowen, Executors Jointly of this her last will and Testament cutting of all Claimers with six pence Legacy and this we subscribe as witnesses this 9th October 1810 - Witnesses present Margaret Cowen. her mark } Catharine Corlet. her mark } Jur At a chapter court holden at Douglas 30th Octr 1810 Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness, yet as there is no objection offered the Ex'ors are sworn in court in form of law and also to be true and just the one to the other in the direction of effects and have given pledges for the payment Of debts & legacies namely John Quine of Onchan & John Quine of the said Parish Probatum est Thos.
