				Lonan
In the Name of God Amen, I William Quayle
of the parish of KK Lonnan being infirm
But of good and Disposing mind and memory
call to mind the uncertainty of human life do
make this my Last Will and Testament in Manner
and form following.  This 3rd Day of May 1809.

First. I commit my Soul to God and Body to a Christian
Burial

Item.  I Leave and Bequeath to my son in Law, namely, Ewan
Kissack of the parish of KK Maughold the sum of Fifty
Two Pounds currency of this Isle.

Item.  I leave & Bequeath to Sd Ewaan Kissack's Daughter
namely, Margaret Kissack my Feather Bed

Item. I leave and Bequeath to my Daughter Margaret
Kissack's wife, the Big Spinning Wheel and the
Little Spinning Wheel and likewise my Part of the
P___ ____ and likewise all my Part of Sheep
belonging to me.

Item. I leave to Each ____ the sum of five shillings
sixpence who may claim a Right in the my Last
Will and also the sum of two shillings to each 
of the Witnesses of this my Last Will and Testament.

Lastly, I Nominate Constitute and appoint my
two sons in Law, namely James Moore of the 
parish of KK Lonnan and Ewan Kissack of
the parish of KK Maughold jointly whole and
sole Executors of all the Rest of My Goods
Chattles and Effects Movable or immovable

form of Law and also to be true against
the one to the other in the division of 
the Residuum of the Estate & have given 
Pledges for the payment of Debts and

The humble petition of Ewan
Kissack of the Parish of
Maughold.

Sheweth
That William Quayle
of the parish of Lonan departed this
life on or about the 27th day of Octob'r
last having first duly made and
published his Last Will & Testament
wherein and whereof he nominated and
appointed James Moore of the Parish
of Lonan aforesaid and Yr Petitioner
joint Exors as by reference to the said
Will may appear.

That the said James Moore who
continues to live in the house wherein
the said William Quayle lived had
possessed himself  of and occupied the
whole of the goods and effects which
were of the Estate of the said William
Quayle to the exclusion of Yr Pet'r from
all right and ownership of the same
contrary to the Will of the said Deceadant
and refuseth to give ___ Pet'r any satisfaction
respecting the same.

That Yr Pet'r  conceived him 
___ will entitled to the possession of 
the Moiety of the said Estate _____
the said Will and that it is necessary
that the said Will should forthwith be
Established in order that Yr Pet'r may be
qualified to a ___ a joint ___
possession and management of the said
Estate goods and effects.

Wherefore Yr Petr prays that
Yr Reverence may be pleased to
grant a hearing hereof with
authority to prove the validity
of the said Will and that upon
proof of the same the Will
may be established according to
the form of Law and Yr Petr'r Sworn
joint Exor -____ along with the Sd
James Moore as intended by the said
Deceasdant.. And Yr Petr will pray ______

Ordered that this petition do come on to be hear
before me at the Court House in Ramsey on Friday
the 17th of Nov inst. Whereof all proper parties 
and witnesses to have notice.

Disposition of Witness taken in a Testamentary
cause between the said Parties.

James Quayle a witness produced on behalf
of the Plaintiff being sworn & examined dep____
____ he knows the Plaintiff & Defend't ____
They are married to the Daughters of William
Quayle deceased, that Deponent knew and was
well acquainted with Wm Quayle the late deceased
					
& that he had ____ the ____ writing marked with the letter A -
saith that the said paper writing was duly
executed by the said Wm Quayle as his last
Will & Testament in the presence of this
Deponent & John Kerruish the other
witness & the Deponent & John Kerruish
signed their names to the said paper writing
				
as witnesses in the Deponents Testators presence & that
									
the said Testator appeared to him the Deponent at the said
time to be of sound & disposing mind & memory
& that he knows of no other will made
by him since---
			Being cross examined on

on behalf of the Defend't saith that the said
Paper writing marked with the let A
purporting to be the last Will & Testament 
of the Sd William Quayle was written by
John Kerruish the other witness in the
house of the Plaintiff-that no person was
in the Room with the Testator Wm Quayle
at the time of executing the said paper writing
but the Deponent & the other witness, that
the Deponent was requested by the Plaintiff
to come to be a witness to the Will of Wm
Quayle late deceased, that said Will was
read to the Sd Wm Quayle deceased who
declared the same to be his will in the
presence of the Deponent-James Quayle.

John Kerruish a Witness produced on
 behalf of the Plaintiff being sworn was examined
deposed & saith he knew Wm Quayle late 
deceased, that ____ that he knows the Plain-
tiff & Defend't that the sd Plaintiff & Defendant
are married to the daughters of the Sd Wm
Quayle late deceased—that he has looked at
the paper writing marked with the letter
A now, produced unto him & so certified
to, that the said paper writing was written
by the Deponent by the Direction of the

said William Quayle deceased & in his
presence---that the said paper writing was
duly executed by the said William Quayle
deceased in presence of the Deponent of the
other witness James Quayle, that the Depon't
& the said James Quayle did in the presence
of the said Wm Quayle deceased signed their
their names as witnesses thereto—that the
said Wm Quayle deceased appeared to this
Deponent to be of sound mind & memory
at the time he executed the said paper
writing marked with the letter A as
aforesaid and that he knows of no
oterh will by him since made---
