Thomas Clucas 1811 Dgs A 20 0106238 In the Name of God Amen - I Thomas Clucas smith of the Town of Douglas being weak in body but of good dispos ing mind memory and understanding and thinking of the uncertainty of this mortal life do make This my last will and testament as follows First I Commit my soul to Almighty God and my body after Death to a decent Christian Burial Hoping Through the merits of the Blessed Redeemer for a joyful resurrection as for the goods and effects that the Almighty Hast blest me with I leave and bequeath as followeth Item I leave and bequeath unto my two Daughters Namely Elenon and Jane the sum of thirty pounds British each and also my half of our Dwelling house and half of our yard garden and smythy after their Mother Decease to be posessed by my said daughters equally betwixt them and the aforesd Legacys not to be paid till after their Mothers decease Lastly I leave one Shilling Legacy to each lawful claimer I Nominate Constitute order and appoint My Loving Wife Jane Clucas alias Kewan to be whole and sole Executrix of all the rest of my worldly goods of all kind and nature whatsoever and This I do declare to be my last will and Testament this 10th day of Febry 1811 Witnesses Present Hugh Shimin his X Thomas Kelly At a Chapel Court holden at Douglas 12th June 1811 - The Exor is sworn in Court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will Probatum est Thos Cubbon Novr 22nd 1811 John Kissack enters a claim agst the estate of Thos Clucas for the sum of £ 10-0-0 british
