In the name of God Amen.
I William Cain of Moaney Mooar in the parish of KK German being of a
sound mind memory and understanding and calling to mind the
uncertainty of this transitory life do make this my last will and
testament in manner as follows:
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a Christian
burial.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son Matthias Cain my white horse and
my feather bed and bolster and bed clothes.  It now is being the bed that
I do myself lie on, wholly as it now stands as legacy.
Item  I leave and bequeath to my son John Cain the sum of two shillings
and six pence and my moiety of the meal and corn that shall remain after my
funeral and my churn and my winnowing sailcloth as legacy.
Lastly I constitute, nominate, and appoint my loving son Thomas Caine whole
and sole executor of all the rest of my goods and effects moveable and
immovable of what kind or denomination soever excluding and
debarring all other person or persons claiming any further right to my goods
and effects at  six pence legacy each.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto ordered my mark to my name this the
29th day of January 1812.

At a Chapter Court holden in Kirk German the 22nd Oct 1813.
William Cowley one of the witnesses of this will having departed this
life the survivor Richard, no objection being offered, hath proved the
same and the executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given
pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely Richard Cowley the said
witness and Philip Kaighin of Kirk German      Probatum Est  T. Stephen.
