The humble petition of Margaret Skillicorn of the parish of Kirk Lonan
        
Sheweth—
        
That your Petr's husband John Skillicorn departed this life about six weeks
ago and left your Petr with six children--that your Petr feels herself
unable to settle her affairs till her Husband's will be proved and is much
inconvenienced for want of such settlement --That under these circumstances
your Petr humbly begs your Reverence will be pleased to appoint an early
day for the probate of sd will & your Petr shall for your Reverence's
happiness ever pray

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at an Eccl Court to be
holden at K. Maughold on Friday 17th inst whereof all proper parties and
persons to have due notice given at Man [--?--] this 3d Decr 1813.

The Last Will and Testament of John Skillicorn of the parish of Lonan being
weak in Body but of sound memory
I commit my soul to God who gave it and my Body to a decent Christian
Burial, and as for my worldy effects I leave them in the following manner
I leave and bequeath unto my children Thos Margret Ann Jane and Elinor
Thirty pounds each when they arrive to the age of Twenty one years.
I leave unto the poor of the parish five pounds manks to be divied (?)
afater my discease
I leave my Dear wife whole Executor of all my effects movable and immovable

At an Eccl Court holden at K. Maughold this 17, Decemr 1813 The Exx is
sworn in court in form of law and also guardian and supervisor of the
children under age and hath given pledges for payment of debts and
legacies, namely the Witnesses of the will. His son John Skillicorn is also
sworn guardian and supervisor of the children under age.
