The last will and testament of Margrett Corlett otherwise 
Garrett widow of Simon Corlett decd, of the parish of 
Ballaugh, being infirm in body but of sound mind memory 
and understanding, made her last will and testament in 
manner following.  
First, She commended her soul to Almighty God and body 
to Christian burial.  
She willed and left to her SON JOHN the sum of two shillings.  
She willed and left to her SON HENRY the sum of two shillings.  
She also willed and left to her SON THOMAS the sum of two shillings.  
She willed and left to her SON SIMON the sum of ten shillings.  
She willed and left to her DAUGHTER MARGRETT the sum of two 
pounds and a green gown and a green petticoat.  
She willed and left to her DAUGHTER EALLY the sum of four 
pounds and her share of part of a piece of linen and also 
a wheel and the best blanket and all her shaped cloath which 
was already made woolen and linen, and a chest.  
Lastly, She nominated constituted and appointed and left 
her SON PAUL CORLETT whole and sole Executor of all the 
rest residue and remainder of all her goods effects credits 
of what kind or nature whatever this in presence of us 
the witnesses the 15th day of July 1814:  
Declared by the Testator to be her last will and testament 
in our presence:

John Quayle, jur.                           

AT A CHAPTER COURT HOLDEN AT KK MICHAEL 7TH JUNE 1815:  
The Execr is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges 
for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses to the will.  
Probatum est, 
Tho. Cubbon.                    

I EALLY CORLETT late of the Parish of Ballaugh but now in 
the Parish of Braddan do acknowledge to have received from 
PAUL CORLETT Executor of the last will and testament of 
MARGARET CORLETT late of the Parish of Ballaugh deceased the 
sum of four pounds, her share of a piece of linen, a wheel, 
the best blanket and all her shaped cloaths and a chest 
being the amount of the whole of the legacy bequeathed to me 
in the said will, And I do hereby release, acquit, exonerate 
and discharge the said PAUL CORLETT, his execr Admins and 
assigns of the same and every part thereof, As witness my name 
this 20th day of May 1822.

Acknowledged to be paid the whole of the legacy at the same
