This is affirmed by the witnesses whose
names are hereunto subscribed to be the last
will and testament of Christian Lawson
widow of the late William Lawson of the parish
of Jurby deceased who being of a sound and
disposing mind memory and understand
ing did on the 25th day of January 1815 pro
nounce proclaim and declare her last will and
testament in manner and form following.
First she committed her soul to God and her
body to the earth to be buried in decent christian
burial.
She left bequeathed and devised to her son Robert
her whole right title property and interest of in
and unto a parcel of intack land to her belonging known
and distinguished by the name Cortte ny Ju...
with all rights members and appurtances to the
same belonging forever. She also left and bequeathed
to her said son Robert her right and property to
a Deed of Mortgage which William Ker
mode of the said parish possesed .... her said
husband upon a meadow belonging to him situate
in the parish of Andreas called Kermode's Meadow
with the premises therein included together with
a bed and bedding suitable thereto.
She left and bequeathed to her son William the sum
of ten shillings british with whatever was in his
hands due to her.
To her son David she left and bequeathed the sum
of ten shillings british and also whatever was in
his hands due to her.
To her Grandson Thomas Lawson son of her son
Thomas Lawson she left and bequeathed the sum
of five pounds and as much blue cloth which 
she had in her house as would be sufficient for a
coat suitable to him.
She left and bequeathed to her Grandson William
Lawson son of the said Thomas Lawson the sum
of five pounds of the money due her from William
Fargher of Andreas. And to her Grandsons
namely John and Dnaiel sons of the said Thomas
Lawson the sum of five pounds each.
She left and bequeathed to her two Grand Daughters
daughters of the said Thomas Lawson all her caps
and a piece of blue stuff which she had in her house
equally between them.
She left and bequeathed to her daughter in law Jane
Lawson wife of William Lawson all her shaped apparel
and to her son William Lawson a ewe and lamb.
Lastly she nominated constituted and appointed
her son Patrick Lawson sole and whole Executor of
this her last will and testamend and residuary
legatee of all the rest of her goods lands cash credits and
effects of whatever nature and denomination.

declared by the testarix as her }  to any person or persons or
last will and testament in      }  persons who would crave
presence of us                  }  right of legacy to her effects

The Exor is sworn in Court in form of
law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts & legacies namely
the witnesses of the will

I Daniel Lawson of Lezayre grandson of
Christian Lawson the testratix deceased
do acknowledge to have received from Patrick
Lawson of the parish of Jurby the executor
of the last will and testament of the foresaid
Christian Lawson the sum of five pounds
being the amount of the legacy bequeathed
to me in and by the said will of the said
Christian Lawson. And I do hereby release
accquit and discharge the said Patrick Lawson
his heirs, exors, admors and assignes of the
same for ever. As witness my name this
4th day of April 1827

Lawson deceased of the parish of Jurby do
acknowledge to have received from Patrick
Lawson of the said parish of Jurby the
Executof of the last will and testament of
the said Christian Lawson the sum of
five pounds being the amount of the legacy
bequeathed to me in and by the last
will and testament of her the sd Christian
Lawson. And I do hereby release acquit
exonerate and discharge the sd Patrick
Lawson his heirs, exors, admors, assigns
of the same for ever, As witness my
subscription or mark to my name
