57 KK Andreas April 11th 1812 This is to be the last will and testament of Margett Lace als Christian widow of the parish of Andreas being of a sound mind and memory at the making thereof. First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. 2ndly She leave and bequeath unto William Lace the son of her late husband the sum of three shillings as legacy. Also she leave and bequeath to her son Thomas Lace the sum of three shillings as legacy. Also she leave and bequeath unto her daughter Elizabeth (widow of Thomas Lawson) the sum of three shillings as legacy. Also she leave and bequeath unto her daughter Jane the sum of three shillings as legacy. Also she leave and bequeath six pence to any person or persons that will or shall make any attempt to make null or void this my last will and testament as legacy. Lastly she nominated and appointed her two daughters vizt Esther and Ann Lace as sole executrixes of all the rest of her good chattels and effects movable and immovable of what kind or nature soever to the witnesses one shilling each this the day and year above written April 11th 1812. Margett Lace als Christian her mark X Signed in presence of us witnesses: Joseph Lace my mark William Kaneen Jurati At a Chapter Court holden in Ramsey the 13th June 1816 Ann Lace on of the executrixes being absent Esther Lace the other executrix named in the foregoing will is sworn executrix in court in form of law and to be true and just in the division of the residuum of the estate to her absent co executrix and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will Probatum Est Thos Cubbon.
