Isabella Cannell alias Caine of Ballafaigien in the Parish of Kirk Michael being of sound and [unknown] mind, memory and understanding Do make my last Will and Testament in manner as following: Firstly I commit my soul to God and Body to Christian Burial. Secondly I give and bequeth to my beloved daughter Elizabeth the sum of Fifty Pounds British to be [dispersed] at the ages of Twenty years also a feather bed and bed- ding a cotton quilt and all my wearing apparel ---- Thirdley I give and bequeath to my be- loved Son William the sum of Twenty-two pounds British to be dispersed at the age of Twenty years ---- [page over] Fourthley I give and bequeath to my be- loved Son John the sum of Two Guineas ---- And Lastly, I designate, constitute and appoint my beloved husband John Cannell whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and assign Legatee of all the Rest of my Goods, Rights, Credits, Chattels and Effects able and [unknown] whatever. In Witness whereof I have herewith set my Mark to my Name this 19th day of August 1818 ---- Signed by the Testatrix, Isabella Cannell as and for her last Will & Testament Phinlo Corlett [Charlotte] Cannell Juritas At a Chapter Court held in KMichael 26 Oct 1818 ---- [page over] The [exectrix] is sworn in Court in form of Law, and as guardian of the children underage, and hath givin pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely the witnesses Phinlo Corlett, and Patrick Cannell of Ballaugh ---- Probatum est [signed by:] [unknown] Cubbon [ and unknown] Stephen Episcopal Registry 25th November 1829 John Kissack husband of Elizabeth Cannell & legate named in the foregoing last Will and Testament of Isabella Cannell appeared this day and acknowledged to have received the Legacy of Fifty Pounds British a feather bed and bedding a cotton Quilt and all the deceased's wearing apparel Bequeathed unto his Said Wife and he herby exonerates, acquits and discharges the Ex[unknown] his Ex[unknown] and assigns at the same and of every [unknown] whereof.
