In the name of God Amen.
William Clark of Ballawillin in the parish of Kirk German being at
present weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding do make this my last will and testament in form and
manner following:
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent
Christian burial.
Secondly I leave bequeath and devise unto my daughters Ellinor and Margaret
each the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds British to be
paid them and each of them by my executrix when they shall have
attained the age of twenty one years if they shall demand the same. Thirdly
I leave bequeath and devise unto  each of my three sons Thomas, William and
Philip the sum of thirty pounds British and to my sons John
and Robert the sum of five shilling each.  The said legacies to be paid
them the said Thomas, William and Philip when they and each of them
shall attain the age of twenty one years.  And unto John and Robert when
they shall demand the same.
Fourthly I leave bequeath and devise unto the poor of the town of Peel
and parish of Kirk German the sum of five pounds British to be
distributed among them by the Wardens.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my loving wife Eleanor Clark
alias Carran whole and sole executrix of all the rest of my moneys, bills,
bonds, goods, chattels, and effects of what kinds or nature soever movable
and immovable and of this my last will and testament hereby excluding and
debarring all and every person or persons claiming or pretending to claim in
this my last will and testament with one shilling legacy.  In testimony
whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name or
mark to my name this 4th day of January 1819.    William Clark.
