In the name of God Amen.
I Margret Cowley widow of Balloney in the parish of KK Michael I am now
in my old age and declining state of health and thinking on the
uncertainty and shortness of this mortal life.  Do make my last will and
testament in manner and form following.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my eldest son and heir John Cowley my part
of the husbandry gears and my part of the horses also my part of a heffer
aged two years for next November.
I leave also to my said son John Cowley my part of the barrells and
coolers belonging to me in the house.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my son William Cowley a chaff bed two quilts
and two blankets.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my eldest daughter Jane Ratcliffe
(Radcliffe) a sluff gown.
Fifthly I leave to my second daughter Cathrine Corjeage a chaff bed
Sixthly I leave and bequeath to my third daughter Margret Kneal a sluff
gown.
Seventhly I leave and bequeath to my grandson John Kneal all my sheep after
my decease.
Eighthly I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Margret Kneal all my
shapen apperal excepting what is mentioned in my last will.
Ninethly I leave and bequeath to my youngest son Patrick Cowley my part of
the purchased lands and premises and my said son Patrick Cowley is
to pay in lieu of said lands and premises the sum of ten pounds British
unto my daughter Ann Quiggin.  The said sum was promised as portion of
Marriage Dowry at her entermarriage.
Tenthly I leave and bequeath to my grandson John Kneal the sum of four
pounds British.
Eleventhly I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Christian Cowley
the sum  of two pounds British.
I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Margret Kneal the sum of two pounds
British.
And lastly I nominate and appoint my son Patrick Cowley whole and sole
executor of all the rest of my goods moveable and immoveable of what kind or
denomination soever excluding all other person or persons that
will claim any right or title to this my last will and testament with six
pence legacy.

Patrick Quayle relinquished burden of executor with John Cowley the legatee
sworn executor in court with pledges  the witness of the will.
