In the name of God Amen I John Skillicorn of the Parish of Lonon being sick
and weak of body but of sound mind memory and understanding at the making
hereof  — Do make this my last will and testament in form and manner
following viz:
in the first and principal place I commend my soul unto the hands of God
that gave it and my body to a christian burial.
And my worldly goods as follows viz —
Secondly I give and bequeath to my two sons James and Robert the Sum of
Five Shillings British each
Item I leave and bequeath to my Daughters Jane and Ann the Sum of Five
shillings British each
Item I leave and bequeath to the child unborn whom my wife is now pregnant
with the Sum of five shillings British should the child live and if it
should so happen that it will die the Legacy is to be divided among the
other children equally.
Item I leave and bequeath to any person or persons who may claim in my will
the Sum of One shillings British each
Lastly I do make ordain constitute and appoint my dearly beloved wife Jane
Skillicorn whole and Sole Executor of all the rest of my goods and Effects
moveable and immoveable of what nature sort or description soever they (?)
be confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament this the
fifth day of November one thousand Eight hundred and Twentyfour

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas 13th December 1825
Jane Skillicorn in the foregoing will named is sworn well and truly to
Administer the Estate and effects of John Skillicorn decd to pay all just
debts and Legacies so far forth as goods will extend and the Law bind her
and to return a true and perfect Inventory of the Estate into the Episcopal
Registry when thereunto lawfully Required and to these ends John Craine and
William Kelly both of the Parish of Onchan have entered into a Bond in the
penal Sum of twenty Pounds British to the Lord Bishop and his Successors
bearing equal date herewith
