In the name of God Amen.
I Richard Ellison of the town of Peel being old and weak in body but of
sound mind memory and understanding and calling to mind the
uncertainty of this mortal life and desirous to settle my worldly affairs
before my decease - do make this my last will and testament in manner
following:
Imp;  I commend my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent Christian
burial.
Item I leave devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Bell otherwise
Ellison the sum of twenty shillings British legacy.
Item I leave devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas Ellison the sum of ten
pounds ten shilling British the same being in the hands of Thomas Halsall of
Peeltown on his Promissory Note a legacy.
Item I leave devise and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Ellison a
feather bed and beddings.
Item:  I leave devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas King the sum of twenty
shillings British legacy.
Item I leave devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas and my daughter Sarah
Ellison the sum of twenty pounds British which is to be come due from my son
William Ellison at his possession a certain garden purchased
by me and know by Dan's Garden to be equally divided between them and should
he the said William Ellison neglect completing the same the said garden with
all its easements I leave and bequeath unto them my said son Thomas and
Sarah Ellison equally between them.
And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint them my said son Thomas
and daughter Sarah Ellison co- executors of all the rest residue and
remainder of all my cash goods and chattels moveable and immoveable equally
between them excluding and debarring any person of person that may claim in
this my last will with six pence legacy.
