           Maughold
The humble petition of Thomas Kewin of the parish of Maughold. Sheweth: That
some time in the month of Nov 1825 Margaret Kewin your petitioner's wife
departed this life intestate, but having issue by our petitioner
several young children under age.
That some time in the month of May last Patrick Kelly one of the brothers
of the said Margt Kewin presented a petition praying to have administration
of the said estate committed to some proper person and your petitioner being
ill and confined to his bed was unable to attend
court when the said petition came on to be heard and therefore
administration of the said estate was accordingly granted to Daniel
Christian Sumner General  at Consistorial Court held in Ramsey the 25th May
last and he was also sworn guardian over the said minors.
That the said Daniel Christian is desirous to relinquish the said
administration and guardianship to your petition who is the most proper
person to undertake the same and your petitioner therefore submits that he
should be appointed in the place of the said Daniel Christian.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and  that upon
consideration of the matters aforesaid the said Daniel Christian may be
permitted to resign the said administratorship and guardianship to your
petitioner and that your petitioner may be sworn and appointed in his
place accordingly.

Ordered that the petition do come on to be heard at a Consistorial Court
to be holden at Ramsey on Thursday the 29th of June instant.
Whereof all proper parties and witnesses to have due notice.
Given at Milntown this 20th of June 1826.
