45 Lezayre This the Tenth day of December 1827. The Last will and and testament of William Corlett of the parish of Lezayre written the Tenth of December 1827 and commended in writing the testator being weak in body but of a perfect and well disposed memory at the pronouncing of the same. First he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item: He left and bequeathed to his seven children William, Thomas, Robert, Stephen, James, Margret, and Mary one shilling each as a legacy. Item: Lastly he nominated and appointed his loveing wife Ann sole executrix of all the rest of his goods of what nature or denomination whatsoever. Signed by the testator. Likewise he left one shilling each to the witnesses of the said will. Witnesses: Robert Stevenson Mathias Corlett Jurati At a Chapter Court holden at Ramsey on the 2nd day of May 1828. Ann Corlett the executrix in the foregoing will named is sworn in court in form of law well and truly to execute the last will and testament of William Corlett deceased to pay all his just debts and legacies so far as the goods will extend and the law bind her and to return a true and perfect inventory of the goods and effects of the decedent into the Archdeacon's Registry when thereto lawfully required. And to these ends Robt Stevenson and John Curphey both of Lezayre have entered into a bond unto the Revd John Nelson Vicar General in the sum of twenty pounds British. Probatum Est John Nelson.
