      Ballaugh
At an Eccl Court holden in Douglas the 29th Feb 1828
Daniel Stephen of the parish of Ballaugh having departed this life on or
about the -------1897 and all his next of kin having been cited to appear
in this court to exhibit his last will and testament if any he had made
out to sue out Letters of Administration of his effects in case he had
died intestate and no will of the said Daniel Stephen having been
produced and the said next of kin having declined or refused to undertake
the administration of his effects.  The court thereupon and upon the
petition of John Stephen of ---- a creditor of the said Daniel Stephen
and also for preservation of the rights of his other legal creditors and of
all persons interested in his estate do commit the administration of all
and singular the goods rights credits, chattels and effects of the said
Daniel Stephen to William Radcliffe Sumner of Andreas and he the said
William Radcliffe is thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the
same to return a full and perfect inventory and appraisement thereof to the
Registry of this court to sett the same by Public Auction to the best
advantage and likewise to exhibit into the said Registry his accounts
sale of the said estate to pay all the just debts of the said Daniel
Stephen so far forth as his goods and effects will extend and the law
bind and to be accountable for his said administration when thereunto
required by the said court.  Decretum est   John Nelson
