JAMES CROW  ONCHAN  1831  Will #1

In the name of God Amen
I James Crow in the Parish of KK Onchan
being sick & weak in body but of perfect
mind understanding & memory do
make & appoint this to be me last
Will & Testament---Principally & first
of all I commend my Soul to God
through Jesus Christ my Redeemer
& my body to the Earth to be buried
with A Christian Burial.

And as to my worldly goods
I dispose of the same in the following manner:

I leave & bequeath to my son William &
four daughters Viz Elizabeth, Jane, Isabella
& Ann Crow one shilling each.

Lastly I ordain nominate & appoint
my two daughters namely Catherine &
Eleanor Crow sole Executrixes of the rest
of my goods of whatever name or
denomination. This [21] February 1831

At a Chapter Court holden at [____]
on the 9th day of May 1831.

Catherine Crow and Elleanor C[row]
the Executrixes in the foregoing Will
named are sworn in Court in form [of]
Law well and truly to execute the last [Will]
and Testament of James Crow deceased [to]
pay all his just Debts and Legacies [so far]
forth as the goods and Effects will ex[tend]
and the Law bind them and to be [true]
and just the one to the other in the dis[tribution]
of the residuum of the Estate.  And [to this]
end George Killey and Michael Can[non]
both of the Parish of Onchan have en[tered]
into a bond unto the Lord Bishop of [Sodor]
& Mann in the sum of Thirty pounds Br[itish]

Know all men by these presents, that We, George
Killey
in the Parish of Conchan and
Mich'l Cannon of
the Parish of Conchan are held and firmly bound
to William Lord Bishop of Sodor and Mann, and his Successors,
in the Sum of Thirty pounds
British; to the Payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind
Ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, jointly and
severally, by these presents, to the said Lord Bishop and his Successors.

Witness our Subscriptions, this
9day of May 1831

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this Day
granted probate of the Will 
of James Crow
deceased, to Cathe'rn & Ell'r Crow
Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such, that if the said
Executrix
shall well and truly administer the Estate and Effects of the said
James Crow deceased; and shall
in all Things relating thereto conform to the Laws of this Isle, the Orders
of the Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, and the Oath they
hath this day taken, then the foregoing Obligation to be void, otherway
to be and remain in full force and virtue in Law
