EDWARD SKILLICORN  LONAN  Arch Will # 3  1833

In the name of God Amen
The Last Will and testament of Edward
Skillicorn of the parish of KK Lonan being
sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind
and memory at the making hereof.  First I commend
my soul to God and my Body to a decent burial.
As for my worldly goods and effects I leave in
the manner following

I leave and bequeath unto all my beloved children
namely John, Philip, Edward, James, Ann, Mary
and Elizabeth sixpence each.

I constitute and appoint my loving wife
Ester Skillicorn whole and sole executrix of all
my goods and chattles credits and effects by
her freely to be enjoyed whether movable
immovable and [also] utterly revoke all other
wills satisfying and confirming this and no others
to be my Last Will and testament this the
8th Day of December 1832.

At Ramsey July 6th 1833.
Edward Skillicorn the Test’r having
departed this life. Ester Skillicorn
is sworn well and truly to execute
the foregoing being the Last Will and 
Testament of aforesaid Edwd Skillicorn
to pay the debts legacies & funeral
Expenses so far forth as the goods
will extend and the Law bind her.

To return unto the Archdeacon’s
Reg’y when required an inventory
of the Effects and an accurate
account of all her transactions
[tracking] the [___] and to these
Ends she hath given Pledges namely
[John?] Skillicorn.

Know all men by these presents, that We, [John?] Skillicorn
in the Parish of Lonan and ___________
in the Parish of ___________are held and firmly bound
to William Lord Bishop of Sodor and Mann, and his Successors,
in the Sum of Ten pounds
British; to the Payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind
Ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, jointly and
severally, by these presents, to the said Lord Bishop and his Successors

Witness our Subscriptions, this
6th day of July 1833.

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this Day
granted probate of the Will of Edwd Skillicorn
deceased, to Esther Skillicorn

Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such, that if the said
Ex’trx
shall well and truly administer the Estate and Effects of the said
Edward Skillicorn deceased; and shall
in all Things relating thereto conform to the Laws of this Isle, the Orders
of the Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, and the Oath she
hath this day taken, then the foregoing Obligation to be void, otherway
to be and remain in full force and virtue in Law.
